How does play session work?
Our play area sessions are designed to provide all cats with a fair and enriching opportunity for exercise, stimulation, and interaction during their stay.
Each session typically lasts around 10–15 minutes, and we aim to bring cats to the play area every other day. Please note that this may vary during busy periods or peak holiday seasons. To ensure a safe and positive experience, we only introduce cats to the play area once they have fully settled in—this means they are eating and toileting normally and are no longer showing signs of significant stress or timidity. We never force any cat to participate; their comfort and wellbeing always come first.
For cats who are more timid or prefer to remain in their room, our team will spend time engaging with them individually in their own space, using gentle interaction and play suited to their personality.
As playtime is one of the most time-intensive aspects of our daily operations, we carefully manage schedules to ensure all cats receive equal attention and enrichment. In addition, during our daily cleaning and feeding routines, our team closely monitors each cat’s behaviour, appetite, and toileting, keeping detailed observations to ensure they are healthy and adjusting well.
We will capture photos and videos during play sessions whenever possible and share these with you as part of your updates, so you can see how your cat is enjoying their stay.
Please also note that not all catteries offer fully separate or individual play areas. Our play sessions are provided as a complimentary service, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding as we strive to give every cat a fair and positive experience.
